Brooklyn Bridge 10-2-08

Our first day alone in the city was crammed so full of events that we didn't get home until nearly 3:00 am. Needless to say, we slept in Thursday morning. The morning was gone and we had dinner plans with Martin's family at 6:00 pm. It was a good day to take things easy. We hung out in the apartment until Martin got off work and then the three of us, joined by Martin's roommate Jeff, went to lunch together. We came back and helped Martin move furniture in his apartment. Jeff moved out that day and Martin was getting married the following afternoon. He needed space for his wife and her possessions. We were down to only 3 hours before our planned dinner party. The only thing we could think to do was walk the Brooklyn Bridge. It was so fun! We took our time going across. We took a lot of pictures, and even let out a bit of our internal newsboy (er, girl). Take a look: Mimicking the Newsies Angela attempting a heel-click

All of Martin's family and all of Mim's family that came for the wedding were getting together for the first time. Martin's family provided the meal, which was a Mediterranean mix, and the rest of us socialized.

That's it for today. I'm sure this shorter post is a nice break for you. I can assure you it was a nice break for me too! :) Next post: Martin's Wedding.
